pad thai on Wednesday

Another storm hit Perth last night around 10 o’clock like that.

But this time it wasn’t as strong as the storm on Sunday.

Malam tadi awal2 lagi, The Other Half and Miss 8 went around the house securing all the loose objects so they won’t get blown away in the storm.

Masa we came back home on that Sunday after the storm has hit, I noticed that belakang rumah we all memang penuh dengan segala macam benda.

We had buckets lying everywhere, a lot of apples on the ground, my rose plants looking very sad and battered with all the flower petals strewn on the ground.

But The Other Half dengan bangga nya mengatakan yang the trellis he made still berdiri dengan teguhnya!

Hehehehe……

But last night punya storm memang I tak sedar pun kedatangan nya because I was dead tired and sleeping so soundly, heeeeeee….

Pukul 9.30 dah tidur lena! Open-mouthed smile.

Agaknya kalau the roof got blown away, we would have noticed it only when we got drenched from the rain aje lah kot kan Smile with tongue out.

Luckily the girls pun tidur dengan lenanya….parents borek anak rintik lah kan, hahahah….

It will be raining again on and off for the next few days which shows Winter is definitely here.

But for dinner tonite, I tak masak Wintery food, I masak prawn Pad Thai instead.

It’s basically Thai kuey teow using the dried rice noodles. But I cheated and used ready made Pad Thai sauce instead of making it from scratch.

Sifat malas nak masak masih tebal di dada, hehehe…

My prawn pad thai eaten with a squeeze of lime juice, crushed cashew nuts (to replace crushed peanuts which is normally eaten with pad thai) and chilli flakes.

takut ler klu storm kan
kat msia nie, klu ujan lebat
angin kuat ckt, dah rasa cuak semcm
takut2 pokok atau bumbung umah tercabut.

kuey teow tu nampak sedap ler
n x leh kategori malas ler
coz klu malas, mesti langsung x masak
ayat yg lebih sesuai
'kreatif n inovatif'
hehe

Pendragon,
pernah jugak a few times tu yg rasa seram jugak lah especially kalau segala benda berterbangan. But so far, Alhamdulillah, rumah2 yg we all duduk tak pernah lah kena teruk.

Mulan,
dah habis setakat ni, phew! But Winter is always like this lebih kurang mcm masa musim monsoon kat Ganu tu lah kan :-).

Hani,
Poor you. Kat sini ada jual the fresh kuey teow and also the dried ones yg orang Thai slalu guna. Maybe you can try cari the dried rice noodles at any asian grocery shops kat your place?

shah_izan,
tu yg paling takut kan, pokok and bumbung tercabut and melayang atas kereta kita or atas kita. Nahas!
Tu yg bila ada storm forecast kat sini, semua dinasihatkan stay indoors aje kalau boleh.
Kalau I rajin, 2-3 jenis lauk I masak, hahaha

Kesuma,
sesekali buat kuey teow versi Thai ni memang sedap :-)

Kak CT,
waalaikumsalam.
Nasib baik lah kat Perth ni takde puting beliung atau cyclone yang teruk, kalau tak, mau menggigil we all every time.

Alin,
wassalam. Alhamdulillah, your hubby ok. Sure kat apartment dia lagi terasa kat sbb dekat dgn Swan River. Winds dia was very strong, tu yg rasa seram sikit.
